Board Training
Board TrainingNCUIH has partnered with a Non-Profit Organization BoardSource to carry out regional trainings with all Urban Indian Health Program board of directors. BoardSource presented a comprehensive two-day training course on important issues for the Urban Indian health leadership. Copies of the Boardsource training curriculum are available for NCUIH membership through the Knowledge Resource Center. The curriculum includes training on the following content areas:
- Board roles & responsibilities
- Developing a strategic framework
- Boards role in fundraising
- Oversight and obligations of the board
- Incorporating effective trends and ideas
- Board development strategies
- Inner organizational partnerships
- Board assessments (Board/CEO/Organization)
