Services Offered

Medical Department

The medical department offers care to all ages from pre-natal to adult including family planning and birth control, same-day appointments and referrals to medical specialists.

Dental Department

 The dental department offers adult and pediatric general dentistry, preventive care education, emergency treatment etc.

Counseling & Support

The counseling & support services offer an array of services such as, individual and group psychotherapy, assessments (adults and children): ADHD, FASD, substance abuse, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

Diabetes Program

 The diabetes program offers free educational classes and support luncheons, specialty clinic, screenings, free exercise and self-management program and more.

WIC

The WIC program offers nutrition education (children under 5, pregnant and breast-feeding women), one-on-one nutrition counseling, vouchers to buy healthful foods, support and help with breast feeding and more for more info (click here)

Indian Health Board of Minneapolis, Inc.

The Indian Health Board (IHB) of Minneapolis was incorporated in 1971 to provide services for the health needs of the American Indian community living in Minneapolis. The IHB provides medical and dental care and counseling services to more than 7,000 patients each year in its offices at 1315 East 24th Street in the heart of Minneapolis Phillips neighborhood.

IHB provides medical, counseling, and dental services through fully trained providers. Medical services include primary, adult, OB/GYN and pediatric care with emphasis on family planning, diabetes care, and health wellness and education.

Mental health services include individual and family counseling, psychological assessment, consultation with schools and other community agencies as well as social work services and support groups. Dental services include adult and child dentistry, emergency treatment, specialist referral, and preventive care and education.
