NCUIH's Director of Technical Assistance and Research, Jami Bartgis, PhD, participates in a number of SAMHSA workgroups and committees including the Cultural and Linguistic Competence Workgroup of the Council on Coordination and Collaboration; the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered Workgroup through Center for Mental Health Services; the External Workgroup on Cultural and Linguistic Competence; and assisted in the identification of UIO nominees for the Compendium of Indigenous Best Practices project.
